Fast Drops Alone

I have a habit of pouring water from the jug from as high as I can manage. This stemmed from me trying to aerate my chai and making it more frothy.
The other day while pouring water into my glass, I realized that the higher I pour water from, the more individual the droplets have started to become and they fall faster also. This is an obvious observation but it got me thinking, in a metaphorical way - us individuals are just like these water droplets. When we try to progress forward as fast as we can, we get isolated from rest of the crowd and become lonely by doing so. Sure, you are reaching your goal faster but it's also easier to reach your goal faster when the only thing on your mind is you yourself.
Everyone is racing against one another to chase after this finite time we have left on earth. In reality, you actually gain more time and still maintain the same pace when you chase after the finish line together.
